Art and design skills
Art and design skills units offer an opportunity to apply learning from previous units in different contexts. In this unit, learners develop their observational drawing, folding, pencil and scissor skills.
Unit outcomes
Learners who are secure will be able to:
- Use a pencil to make marks.
- Observe an object and draw what they see.
- Use a mirror to create a self-portrait.
- Listen and respond to music by painting.
- Use scissors safely and independently.
- Use scissors to cut different materials.
- Fold and cut paper to make a sculpture.
- Secure different parts of a sculpture together.
