How long should I allow for a Kapow Cambridge lesson?
Not every teacher will teach at the same pace, but this is the approximate time you should allow for each subject:

How do Kapow Cambridge resources demonstrate diversity?
Our resources include diverse images, names and scenarios reflecting different backgrounds, genders, disabilities and challenging stereotypes.
Here are some subject-specific examples:
- Religion and worldviews presents diversity between and within a range of worldviews by including personal responses, images and other information reflecting a broad range of people, contexts and perspectives.
- History lessons teach pupils about a diverse range of historical persons and stories, including those from underrepresented and marginalised groups.
- In Art and design, children learn about art and ethnically diverse artists across cultures and throughout history.
- The Music curriculum includes a variety of musical genres from every continent and composers and musicians from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
How do you ensure that Kapow Cambridge resources are accessible to all pupils?
Our curriculum resources are accessible in the following ways:
- Differentiation suggestions.
- Customisable colour schemes in lesson presentations.
- Knowledge organisers to pre-teach or recap key language/ideas.
- Varied teaching methods to engage different learning styles and needs.
- Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) document for every subject.
Can we drop units and still meet Cambridge International curriculum requirements?
We have created condensed planning for schools that are short of time. This has been carefully constructed so that it still allows you to meet full Cambridge International curriculum requirements. However, if you decide to omit a unit from the condensed curriculum, it does pose the risk of certain skills or knowledge being missed or not consolidated.
What does a free trial include?
An individual teacher trial and a whole school trial lasts for 21 days. You will have full access to all subjects on the website. This includes all of our lesson plans and other resources. You must add at least one teacher as well as yourself to see content on a school free trial. If you choose We limit downloads during free trials. Sign up here.
How much does Kapow Cambridge cost?
The cost depends on the size of your school and the number of subjects you buy. The more subjects you choose to buy, the less each subject costs. School membership covers an unlimited number of users in your school.
Schools can upgrade at any point in their subscription year and still benefit from the multi-subject discount. If you upgrade your subscription part way through the subscription year, we pro-rate the price and length of the subscription for the extra subject(s) so that access to all your subjects ends on the same date.

Can my colleagues have a free trial too?
Of course! In fact we very much encourage it. The more the merrier as far as we are concerned.
What does a Kapow Cambridge membership include?
As a member, you will have full access to the schemes of work in the subjects you choose. You will have access to hundreds of lesson plans, videos and other teaching and classroom resources for twelve months. Schools can purchase a subscription for any number or combination of subjects.

How do I renew a subscription to Kapow Cambridge?
The main school administrator for the Kapow Cambridge account can renew via their dashboard.
Otherwise, please email [email protected], confirming the subjects you wish to renew.
Please also email [email protected] if you wish to try or add extra subjects when you renew or are interested in a multi-year subscription.
Can I swap the subjects my school has subscribed to?
You can add a subject at any time and still benefit from the multi-subject discount. You may not drop or cancel a subject or swap one subject for another subject part-way through a subscription year.
How long does a subscription last?
Kapow Cambridge subscriptions last for a minimum of one year, but we’d be happy to discuss multi-year terms if required. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions about this.
How do I add sub-accounts or additional users?
The account administrator for your school account can create sub-accounts for each member of staff so they have their own logons for Kapow Cambridge.
If you cannot add someone, contact us immediately at [email protected] providing the email address of the person you need to add.

What is a free account?
Our Wellbeing module is free of charge to any member of Kapow Cambridge. If you do not want to buy one of our paid memberships, you can sign up for a free account. This provides full access to our Wellbeing lessons. We will also send you our regular newsletters so you can keep up to date with all the new content and developments at Kapow Cambridge.
Can someone who is not in the UK use Kapow Cambridge?
Yes. Our resources are designed around the Cambridge International curriculum for primary schools in England, but the practical nature of Kapow Cambridge’s subjects and our adaptable resources mean that teachers from all over the world find inspiration and time-saving content. Several international schools are members of Kapow Cambridge.
Do you offer individual memberships?
We are unable to offer individual teacher memberships other than our free Wellbeing module.
Can I download lesson presentations?
The lesson presentations are not downloadable or editable for technical and copyright reasons.
Can you download the teacher and pupil videos?
The teacher and pupil videos are for streaming only and cannot be downloaded. If you want to collect the videos in one place to share with your colleagues, we suggest you share the links to the lesson pages instead.
Why can’t I download resources?
We limit downloads for users during a free trial.
Otherwise, if you cannot download a pdf or editable document, this is likely to be because some browsers’ security settings block downloads from sites that are not authorised. Once you have authorised the Kapow Cambridge website, you will then be able to download resources. You will be able to search online for help to unblock our resources for your particular browser.

Can all the teachers at my school use Kapow Cambridge at the same time?
To ensure that each teacher at your school can use Kapow Cambridge at the same time, each teacher should have their own login.
Membership of Kapow Cambridge comes with unlimited logins and downloads for every member of staff at your school. Your school administrator for Kapow Cambridge can set up a login for new teachers, or alternatively email [email protected]

What does Kapow Cambridge provide for foundation subject assessment?
We provide resources that cater to different assessment methods for all units in all subjects. These include unit quizzes, knowledge catchers and assessment spreadsheets. For more information, see our blog Assessment Tools and Tips for Foundation Subjects.
What happens if I lose my password?

Can I download lesson presentations?

Can I login at home?
Yes, you can use Kapow Cambridge anywhere you have access to the internet.
Are Kapow Cambridge lesson plans printable?
You can find printable lesson plans in Word and pdf versions on the left-hand side of all lesson pages. Simply click to download. To avoid missing out on updated content, only print the lesson plans as close to the date of teaching the lesson as possible. If you want to share the lesson with colleagues, share a link to the lesson instead to ensure they see the most recent version.
Can I edit the resources?
If you have a paid subscription to Kapow Cambridge, you will be able to download many of our classroom resources (other than the videos and presentations) and then edit them to suit your needs.
Can you download the teacher and pupil videos?

Can I download and print off all the lessons in one go?
We discourage teachers from downloading lesson plans far in advance in case they miss out on updates. We understand that many schools do expect teachers to upload plans to their systems, but suggest uploading links instead – many schools do this and embed links to Kapow Cambridge into their intranets. In that way, teachers always have access to the most up-to-date versions and see the CPD videos.

Why won’t the videos play?
We have found that a small number of schools’ security systems block our videos. If this happens, you need to ask your IT department to mark Kapow Cambridge and www.wistia.com as safe sites.
Do I get access to updates to your lessons during my subscription?
Yes! We are constantly tweaking and improving our lessons, updating links, clarifying points and incorporating more CPD. While you are a subscriber you can always access the latest version of a lesson online. This is one reason why we recommend not printing lesson plans too far in advance – save links to the lessons instead.
Why won’t the links on my lesson plan work?
At the time of creating our resources, and periodically, we check all the links. Sometimes a third-party may remove certain content, so the links will no longer work. Please contact us at [email protected] to let us know which links aren’t working and which lesson you were looking at. We’ll get them updated for you.

Can schools reclaim the VAT?
UK schools should be able to reclaim the VAT on a Kapow Cambridge subscription. We will send you a VAT receipt to enable you to do so.
How do I get a receipt for my purchase?
Get in touch with our finance team via [email protected] and they’ll be happy to help.
How do we pay?
You can pay with a credit card, or ask us to send you an invoice. It doesn’t matter to us either way. You get immediate access and do not need to wait for us to receive payment before enjoying the resources. If you prefer to pay by invoice, we will send this to the finance contact at your school if you provide their details when you sign up. Our payment terms are 30 days.
