Differentiation

Learners needing support:

  • Draw 2D shapes for learners to cut or cut 2D shapes for learners to use.
  • Learners can progress from folding and curving the card to making it more rigid, to making a 3D sculpture using three pieces of card, joined together using simple slots. 

Learners working at a stretch:

  • Learners can explore their own ideas for joining pieces and for making the structure more stable.
  • Learners could consider whether they could make their 3D structure more interesting by adding more shapes or by cutting irregular shapes in the card.
