Differentiation

Learners needing support: Should work with a partner or another adult when writing the key features. When discussing Slide 4, break down the exemplar ideas (you could also provide a printed copy Resource – Design ideas exemplars) into their basic shapes on a whiteboard to demonstrate visually how this could be achieved. Support the evaluation process by taking photographs at various stages. Ensure that they can see the Pupil video easily whilst they are working.

Learners working at a stretch: Should be challenged to explain and justify their choices for their key features and design ideas. Extend the practical element to include decorative edges, button-covers and borders around the screen on the case.
