- Generate, develop, model and communicate their ideas through discussion, annotated sketches, cross-sectional and exploded diagrams, prototypes, pattern pieces and computer-aided design.
Evaluate
Pupils should be taught to:
- Investigate and analyse a range of existing products.
- Evaluate their ideas and products against their own design criteria and consider the views of others to improve their work.
- Understand how key events and individuals in design and technology have helped shape the world.

Learners needing support: Could make a poster in a group, supported by TAs, depicting the journey of beef from the farm to our supermarkets. Children can re-watch the video – pausing it at each stage.
Learners working at a stretch: Might want to make a poster on a different subject relating to the rearing of cattle and the process that brings meat to our shops.
