Learners needing support: They may need support following the recipe method and increased one-to-one assistance when cutting tougher ingredients or dealing with different textures and shapes. Consider par-boiling ingredients to make their preparation more manageable.
Learners working at a stretch: They should be encouraged to work independently to follow the recipes, ensuring all ingredients, where applicable, are measured accurately. If they finish ahead of time, allow them to verbally support others.
