Learners needing support:

  • Could be given the second half of their photograph to copy as they complete their self-portrait.
  • Could use pencil grips to correctly hold their pencil.

Learners working at a stretch:

  • Could label the different parts of the face in their self-portraits.
  • Could experiment with different ways of holding their pencil, such as, creating lines using the side as well as the tip of their pencil.
