Differentiation

Learners needing support:

  • Revise the parts of the face, and the names of shapes and lines.
  • Guide learners to trace one large shape at a time on their photograph and then draw it on the Activity: Paul Klee inspired background.

Learners working at a stretch:

  • Encourage learners to draw thick, dark lines or thin, light lines, and recognise that different pressure is needed.
  • When they have coloured in their face, learners can draw over all or some of the lines to highlight the shapes or parts of the face with different drawing materials, like oil pastels.
