Differentiation

Learners needing support:

  • Guide learners to cut around the card tile template.
  • Support learners to score and slip shapes to stick them to the tile.
  • Learners can watch the Pupil video: Applying skills in clay, stop after each action, and give learners time to copy the action.


Learners working at a stretch:

  • Encourage learners to be more ambitious with their tile design, perhaps trying out a few options before deciding what looks good. Remind learners that to change marks they can smooth the clay.
