Learners needing support can:

  • Watch the Pupil video: Joining clay while making and decorating their pinch pot.
  • Decorate their pinch pot with one shape, perhaps a circle rolled and flattened with a face added, using tools pressed in.
  • Be guided to score the surface of the shape and use slip before attaching the decoration.


Learners working at a stretch can:

  • Be encouraged to think about where to place their decoration for the best effect.
